Why strands

A total hides the weak spot

Two learners with the same score can have completely different profiles. Every report shows all sixteen strand results, each scored out of 5, so a strong total can never hide a serious weakness.

Each learner receives

The report

  • A sixteen-strand diagnostic profile
  • A score out of 5 for every strand
  • A CEFR level per strand where evidence supports it
  • Clear feedback: what to practise, how often, when to review
  • An executive results page and a detailed strand report

Fair and transparent

How we keep it honest

Same timing, materials and instructions for every candidate, trained assessors with moderation for writing and speaking, and accommodations under an accessibility policy. Formal A1 to C2 certification applies once validation is complete; until then the test is used for diagnosis and placement.
